Super excited for the movie coming out with Tom Holland! Hoping it is half as good as the book. One thing leads to the next and soon they are running away together escaping the army of Todd’s town. He meets a girl in the forest and is startled that she has no ‘noise’ or that he can’t hear what she is thinking. A boy, Todd Hewitt, who is 14 and just about to become a man, still knows nothing of the dark history of his town (as to not corrupt his innocence). On a planet where all the men can hear each other’s thoughts, it leads them to mass murders of women (who are immune) and to violent, and frankly quite crazy habits. It is quite a bit violent though so maybe not for those who can’t handle violence well. There is also mention of sexual things but it doesn’t go into any detail, just small references. There is a bit of swearing, but it’s very rare. I became so enthralled in this book that I ended up sobbing my eyes out in one chapter, even though I’ve never cried in anything before. It is set in a dystopian world where all living creatures can hear each other's thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called Noise. It’s such a great concept, with an incredible plot, and is written so well through the eyes of the characters. Tools Chaos Walking is a young adult science fiction series written by American-British novelist Patrick Ness. This was the most fast paced book I’ve ever read, and one of the most gripping! If you are wondering right now whether to read it, trust me, do not hesitate and get the book.
